Terms of use

Reading and sharing

Oddsworth is free to read. Share links to any page, and quote a short passage or a figure as long as you link back to the page it came from.

No scraping or automated access

Don't use scrapers, crawlers, bots or scripts to copy pages, data or the search index from the site, and don't download it in bulk. Don't use our previews, ratings or records to build a dataset, feed another product or train a model. Don't try to overload the site or get round anything that limits access to it.

Search engines may crawl the site to list it in their results, and an AI assistant may fetch a page to answer one reader's question. Anything more needs our permission in writing first.

Our content

The previews, ratings, rankings, articles and artwork on Oddsworth are ours. Player photos come from Wikimedia Commons under their own licences, credited on each page that shows one.

Accuracy

Our figures are built from public ball-by-ball records and match data, which can hold errors, and we provide the site as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

What we record

We use PostHog to see how the site is used. It records:

  • the pages you view and the page or link that brought you here
  • your browser, device and screen size
  • a rough location, worked out from your IP address
  • the links and buttons you click
  • errors the page runs into
  • the questions you ask Ask Oddsworth and the answers it gives

PostHog keeps a random ID in a cookie and in your browser's local storage, so a return visit counts as the same visitor. There are no accounts on Oddsworth and we never ask for your name or email, so we don't know who you are. The data is held in PostHog's EU cloud.

Hosting

Netlify serves the site and keeps standard server logs, including your IP address, the pages requested and your browser. Fonts, images and live scores all come from our own servers, so no other company sees your visit.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data or run advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can turn analytics off for this browser here. PostHog then deletes its ID and records nothing more from your visits, and every page works the same. Blocking cookies or using a tracker blocker has the same effect.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you and have it deleted. Email support@oddsworth.net.
