The ground
The ground on the Derwent dates from 1914 and was rebuilt in the mid-1980s to take first-class and international cricket, hosting its first Test in December 1989.
Four light towers went up in 2009, and the record Big Bash crowd of 18,149 came in the 2015–16 season, after the Ricky Ponting stand was added.
